C-Kermit ios transfer to Cisco 2900XL

I played with a old Cisco 2900XL today, So what's up nobody on the www use C-kermit to transfer ios files?

Here is my howto guide

  • set modem type none
  • set port /dev/cuad0
  • if fail stop
  • set speed 9600
  • set flow rts/cts
  • set file type binary
  • set protocol xmodem "lrx %x" "lrx %x" "lsx %s" "lsx -a %s" "lrx %s" "lrx %x"
  • set carrier-watch off

Connect to your Cisco 2900xl

  • copy xmodem: flash:c2900xl-c3h2s-mz.120-5.WC7.bin

    • Return back "quickly" to kermit terminal

  • send c2900xl-c3h2s-mz.120-5.WC7.bin

Great your done ;) Yes you maybe need to change both dev to correct com port and bin name.
